New to the dance? Welcome! Your first dance with us is free.
Beginners, we'll help you to get started in this fun and versatile dance. Try it, take lessons, practice it, and you'll be hooked on this, the most sophisticated, form of swing dance. For Experienced dancers, use this opportunity to review your basics.
Come early to Swing Club most Sundays from 5:30-6:00 p.m. to learn West Coast Swing basics from our most accomplished dancers. For further training we'll provide a list of our member instructors. Each month we cover the following:
Week 1: Basic explanation of West Coast Swing; Basic footwork; Under arm turn, Side arm pass.
Week 2: Review and Sugarpush
Week 3: Review, Basic whip footwork, Basic whip.
Week 4 Review, Tuck footwork, and Basic 1 or 2 handed tuck turn.Further
